I'm Niels. I've been involved with classic menswear for years, and during that time, I've handled hundreds of ties. Most of them were nothing special—interchangeable, arbitrary, not worth spending money on. But every now and then, there's one where someone got everything right thirty years ago: the right fabric, clean workmanship, a design that isn't tied to a specific decade. Those are the ones I sell here.

I import directly from the USA and Italy. American ties from Brooks Brothers, J. Press, Ralph Lauren—first-hand, not through three intermediaries. Italian silk ties from Como and Florence, often hand-printed, from manufacturers that sometimes no longer exist. I now know quite precisely what I need to look for and where to find it.

I myself wear a jacket and tie almost every day. That sounds stiffer than it is—usually with chinos, usually without a tie clip, usually with an unbuttoned shirt collar when it gets warm. For me, the tie is an accessory, not a dress code. And that's exactly how I choose them: pieces that have character, without you having to overhaul your entire wardrobe.
